HOW DOES IT ALL WORK?

Never worry about having little or no speaking experience! Every member of a Toastmasters club was once like you, a beginner! Our club environment is warm, friendly and supportive. Our unique, self-paced program helps you to build confidence with each speaking assignment.

You will learn how to master prepared speaking, impromptu speaking, and evaluation. You will discover that communication and evaluation are two sides of the Toastmasters educational program, one that has been successful for over 80 years!

Positive evaluation is an integral part of the Toastmasters communication and leadership educational programs. Every time you give a prepared speech, you will have an evaluator tell what you did well, then suggest improvements to your speech. The first speech, an Icebreaker, will get you started. The topic is all about you, which your club members eagerly await.

At first we will applaud you for your effort. After that, we will applaud for your ever-increasing skills.

No matter: You will love the applause!
